The legendary mercenary army that led Midland to victory in the 100-years war against Tudor army. After Griffith's transformation into demonhood and becoming the demong king, Femto, all of Band of The Hawk members were massacred. Only three members carry on the original Hawks' legacy: Guts, Casca and Rickert.

Now reincarnated, Griffith has raised the Hawks banner once again, filling its ranks with Apostles(Powerful demons), and leading the main resistance against the Foreign Invasion.

Guts: The protagonist. Born from a corpse, he has been narrowly escaping death his entire life. He has been the commander of the raiders for the Band of Hawks, reknowned as the 'Hundred Man Slayer', and the 'Black Swordsman.' Branded as a sacrifice to the God Hand, Guts lives between worlds, haunted nightly by demons, ghosts and other foul creatures of hell.
