This battle was cancelled and restarted due to a 'bug' that had developed which various clans complained about. Despite the extreme unlikelihood of this bug having had any real impact on the result of the battle (cuing huge volumes of complaint in the forums) the battle was restarted with only 4 days left to play. At this stage, LPa was in first place with 50 more provinces than RUSH in 2nd, was on the verge of taking out VIA and ik, and had friends in every corner of the map. With long term allies VR happy to let LPa take first, and with 30k uncommitted troops between the two clans, RUSH would have had no chance at all to grab the gold and the battle was a dead cert for LPa. - 01/08
