=TAR= Clan was founded a few years ago now by three friends who lived in the same apartment block. They came up with =TAR= so they had something to represent when playing. =TAR= actually taken from the Royal Navy. Explained here. The slang word for Royal Navy Sailors and Marines was and is Jack Tars. The Royal Navy in the 19 century fought in more land battles than sea battles, and became a fearsome fighting force. Hence the name TAR. First in Last out, never lose.
