It would appear that many of the members that sign up to FinalBattleground are happy to provide email addresses which later become obsolete and/ or discontinued. For example, as we send out our weekly round of Challenge Confirmation notification messages, we are noticing a small but sizeable number of email delivery failures shortly after.

Simply put: if you do not keep your registered email address up to date we have no way of contacting you.

We’ve recently been contacted by clans (who shall remain nameless) who insist that they should have their troops and/ or territories returned to them because they ‘did not realize that they have to confirm their matches during the Confirmation Period’.

Oh dear. Let's try to keep things in perspective here. The Tutorial, wiki and forum all provide adequate information concerning the 4 Periods in a week. Further more, if you log into the Battles during the confirmation period you will see the Matched button glowing red. Clicking on that button has a list of your clans Matches (both as attackers and/ or defenders) and a Confirm button next to each and every single one.

We’ve typically added a Message of the day note to all of the users notifying them that the Confirmation Period will expire and failing to confirm their matches will result in an automatic loss.

Last but not least, we send out Private Message in Final Battleground, complete with an email notification that you have a message informing users of all of the challenges that they must accept.

Short of flying over to your nearest airport and then driving over and hand delivering the messages to you, we cannot guarentee the delivery of our communications.

That said, we feel that all of the communication methods that we've put into place are more than enough.

If you are waiting for an email to prompt you to look at what’s happening to your territories in the Battle and you haven’t even got a working email address, we pretty much stop caring at that point.

So... for the future, keep your email address working and updated on Final Battleground and if you can’t be bothered to do that... no problem, just don’t come crying to us when you’ve lost 2 months worth of hard earned Plinks.

On a more positive note, we’ve got more updates on the way and we’ll be releasing some news on this tomorrow.

Play fair and have fun :)
