We are pleased to announce a new build of the Final Battleground, which includes a whole host of additional features in that our ever-growing community will enjoy. As mentioned in an
earlier news posting, we are introducing a new "supporter" status, but we are delaying this until we get some business things sorted out.
In the meantime, this build also has a load of other features which do not require FBG Supporter status. Below is a summary of these new features, and also a host of bug fixes associated with this release.
New FeaturesRe-designed profile editing: To make way for new features applicable to FBG Supporters, we've had to redo the entire "Edit" tab underneath profiles:
- Ability to change in-game options via the web site;
- You can now rename your profile (but note, you are unable to change your profile back to the same name at a later date!);
- A lot more easier to navigate.
Additional information on profiles: At the top of everyone's profile is now a new "information strip" which shows the profile's status, previous names, and an indicator showing what server the player is currently connected to, with a link to go join them. We've also added a counter which shows how many visits a profile has had.
Server administration control panel: Server owners can now designate other people as "admins" on their server, allowing them to change settings and so on relating to the Final Battleground. This is quite an extensive feature, and will be detailed on the
support wiki in the not to distant future. If you are an owner of a server, please contact us via e-mail to
servers@finalbattleground.com and we shall set you up.
There are several other new features for Supporters, but these will be revealed very soon.Changes and Bug Fixes- The application process for signing up a server to join the Final Battleground is a lot more simplier now.
