The problem with caring too much about kpd is that it doesnt exactly always tell you whether a player is good or not...
I could choose to camp every round, get cheap kills all over the shop, and then when my team all dies, go and hide in a lame spot e.g. the apartments on cs_italy. With this tactic, people would come to REALLY hate me for how I play, but technically people would look at my kpd and think ooh he must be good! even though I'm playing in a really low skill style.
Other players could be rushing in there and getting really into the game, playing really well, but only end up with a kpd of round about 2 due to the fact that once their rush has run out of steam, they are a sitting duck.
So when deciding if a player is actually good or not, don't just check their kpd - check them kpm too. If they have a kpm of under 0.5, they probably aren't as good as they look.
